Beth – Business Coordinator
Beth oversees patient billing and insurance, and has been a key part of the front office for the past fifteen years. She considers herself an advocate for Dr. Hanson’s patients and works hard to always make sure they have everything they need for their future appointments, whether it is treatment planning, financial arrangements or any other concerns. Beth is married with three children. She is a graduate of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, owns three shih-tzus and loves to shop if she has a free afternoon.
Martha – Dental Hygienist
Martha joined the practice in 2005. She and her husband Denny have four children, their oldest having graduated with a degree in education while the next three are all still in college. When they aren’t occupied doing things with their busy family they enjoy their two dogs, Lillie and Sophie.
Karla – Dental Hygienist
Karla and her husband of 12 years relocated from California to Kansas City in 2002 so her husband Steve could continue his marketing job. Steve and Karla both love the outdoor life. In their spare time, they enjoy cycling (both on- and off-road) as well as hiking outdoors. When time allows, Karla loves to travel abroad with her husband. They recently became first-time parents of daughter Sierra.
Debbie aka "the Jack of all trades"– Dental Hygienist
Debbie specializes in extreme makeovers. Not only will she get your teeth sparkly clean as a dental hygienist while you are in her dental chair, but she could also style your hair as she is a licensed cosmetologist. She started her career in dentistry as a dental assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys retail therapy (shopping) and spending time with her family and friends.
April – Dental Assistant
April lives in Sugar Creek with husband, John, and her daughter, who is in middle school. The family enjoys traveling, the outdoors, music and fishing from their new boat. April worked in the nursing profession before completing her education to become a dental assistant. She secretly dreams of seeing herself competing on the pro fishing circuit.
Emily – Dental Assistant
Emily graduated from the Penn Valley Dental Assisting program in May of 2009 and has earned her certification in expanded functions. She currently enjoys life as a newlywed, and she and her husband, Eric, have a new puppy named Bruno. They like to spend their spare time traveling or doing things with friends and family.
Angela – Patient Coordinator
When you first enter Dr. Hanson’s office you will be greeted immediately by Angela and her beautiful smile. She has been in the dental field for nine years and loves not only interacting with patients but also excels as our resident “technology geek.” When not at work, she and her husband, Kenny, enjoy watching their children play baseball and soccer, vacationing during the holidays and Thursday Margarita night.
Kim – Dental Assistant
Improving smiles is Kim’s passion. She particularly loves the cosmetic aspect of dentistry, and the skills she has learned through twenty years of experience in dentistry make her an invaluable asset in our practice. She has three grown children and a daughter who is in middle school. In her spare time she enjoys movies and spending time with her family and friends.
